About the couple

Sharon & Robin, a love story ignited on the sun-kissed shores of Curacao!  It was summer of 2022 when these two lovebirds first reached out, their hearts set on returning to the island where their romance first blossomed.  Years ago, their paths crossed amidst the vibrant energy of Curacao, but life, as it often does, led them back to the Netherlands.

Now, with their hearts forever intertwined with the island's magic, they dreamt of a wedding that would bring them full circle.  But with their busy lives back home, planning a destination wedding from afar felt like a daunting task.  That's where yours truly stepped in, ready to sprinkle some fairy dust and transform their vision into reality!

They yearned for a celebration that captured the essence of their love story, a tropical paradise where they could say "I do" and forever seal their bond in the place where it all began.  With their dreams laid out before me, I embarked on a planning journey, eager to weave together a tapestry of love, tropical beauty, and cherished memories.

About the planning

Ah, the quest for the perfect venue! For Sharon & Robin, it was a journey of finding a place that not only resonated with their love story but also catered to their desire for a vibrant celebration where guests could dance the night away. And of course, convenience was key! After a delightful exploration of Curacao's hidden gems, their hearts landed on the captivating Mood Beach.

And oh, what a match made in heaven it was! Mood Beach, with its blend of laid-back charm and vibrant energy, provided the perfect backdrop for their tropical paradise wedding.  Imagine the scene: their chosen hues, a symphony of bold and vibrant colors, popping against the backdrop of Mood's grand gazebo, the shimmering Caribbean waters adding a touch of magic.

To add a playful twist to the evening, we orchestrated a mix of tall and short table settings, creating a dynamic and engaging atmosphere for their guests.  And when the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the celebration, the dance floor came alive, filled with laughter, love, and the joyous rhythm of celebration.

Looking back, I couldn't be more thrilled with how every element harmonized to create a wedding that was as unique and vibrant as Sharon & Robin's love story.  Those bold colors, the playful setting, the infectious energy – it all came together in a symphony of beauty and joy, a testament to the magic that unfolds when the perfect venue meets a love story as captivating as theirs.

We spoke to a number of wedding planners and ultimately chose Ghislaine. She made us feel good during the orientation meeting. Unlike other planners, we were not immediately given a contract, which you must first sign (and pay for) before they even sort out anything for you.

We planned the wedding from the Netherlands. Ghislaine assisted us from choosing the location to the of day coordination. Arranging a remote wedding is extremely nerve-racking, Ghislaine did her best to ensure that everything ran smoothly and to give us the confidence that everything would turn out well.

We had a beautiful wedding at Mood Beach with 70 guests.
