About the couple

Sharon & Robin got in touch with me back in the summer of 2022, looking to bring their dream wedding in Curacao to life. These two lovebirds first crossed paths on the island years ago while working there, but life took them back to the Netherlands. With their jam-packed schedules, organizing everything from afar was a bit of a hassle. That's where I came in! They shared their vision with me: a tropical paradise celebration to honor where they first met and to forever seal their love.

About the planning

Finding the perfect venue for Sharon & Robin was quite the mission, but one I happily took on. They were looking for a spot where they could dance the night away but also conveniently located for all their guests. After some searching, they fell head over heels for Mood Beach.

From that point on, everything fell into place like magic. The vibrant hues of their tropical theme came to life against the backdrop of Mood's grand gazebo set against the shimmering Caribbean Blue waters, while the mix of tall and short table settings added a playful touch to the evening. I couldn't be more thrilled with how everything came together – those bold colors really made a statement!

We spoke to a number of wedding planners and ultimately chose Ghislaine. She made us feel good during the orientation meeting. Unlike other planners, we were not immediately given a contract, which you must first sign (and pay for) before they even sort out anything for you.

We planned the wedding from the Netherlands. Ghislaine assisted us from choosing the location to the of day coordination. Arranging a remote wedding is extremely nerve-racking, Ghislaine did her best to ensure that everything ran smoothly and to give us the confidence that everything would turn out well.

We had a beautiful wedding at Mood Beach with 70 guests.
